The Mayor of
Kazan Ilsur Metshin visited the Aviator -first private technopark in the city, and
talked with residents who place their production at technological sites. The new
challenges faced by entrepreneurs, support measures, as well as the expansion
of the technopark were discussed at the meeting of the city anti-crisis
headquarters.
The head of the
city noted that such technoparks as the Aviator make a large-scale contribution
to the urban economy, research and development work along with industrial
giants. “This is the only one of its kind not only in Tatarstan, but also in
the Volga region”, - Ilsur Metshin said about the technopark.
The scientific
and technological complex is a platform for entrepreneurs in production, research
and development activity, as well as startups. To date, there are 34 tenants in
the technopark, 11 of them are residents who have already implemented full
–scale production for a number of developments.
The Mayor of
Kazan visited several production workshops at the Aviator. Entrepreneurs shared
the information about their projects and implementation.
Ilsur Metshin
got acquainted with the work of Intelligent Climate Systems company, which produces
controllers for house boilers. The company plans to develop an industrial
controller. For the proposed pilot project, the head of the city instructed to
select a non-residential municipal facility where the company could test a
controller by connecting it to the heating system.
Representatives
of OOO Niteos, which has been engaged in the production and sale of LED
equipment, including for architectural lighting, since 2010, also told about
their products and challenges. Some of the raw materials required for the
production of optical systems were imported from abroad. Since this process has
now been suspended, employees are searching equivalents and are confident that
they will be able to implement import substitution shortly. Ilsur Metshin noted
that the company would get assistance to establish necessary cooperation.
The Mayor also
visited the site of OOO TekhAvtomatika, engaged in the production of control
and measuring devices for satellite monitoring systems of transport. Today,
fuel sensors manufactured by the company are used by Kazan motor transport
enterprises. “Some of the products of this workshop were sold abroad, but due
to the current situation, exports to some countries have been stopped”, -
explained Mikhail Yurikov, Strategic Development Manager at Aviator.
The company also
produces meteorological stations and stations for environmental monitoring,
which are in demand in various industries – from agriculture to the oil
industry. The Mayor of Kazan instructed the deputy head of the Executive
Committee, Ildar Shakirov, to consider the possibility of installing automatic
air monitoring stations in Kazan.
Ilsur Metshin
highly appreciated the activities of the tenants and residents of the
technopark. “The production of such products deserves attention and support in
the current conditions. Young people are working here, moving forward instrumentation
engineering and automation. They show that they are ready to replace the
companies that are now leaving our market”, - the Mayor said.
To date, the
technopark occupies a land plot of 2,155 hectares. The increase of the area was
discussed at the meeting in connection with the construction of a new
nine-storey building and the creation of a high-tech competence center. The
Mayor of Kazan expressed readiness to assist in speeding up the process of
approving the necessary documentation.
For reference,
the city anti-crisis headquarters was established in Kazan in mid-March. The
