The work on the implementation of the Our Yard republican program in Kazan is completed by 71%. One of the landscaped sites is the yard on Dementieva Street in the Aviastroitelny city district. By the end of summer, a unique aviation-themed public space will be created here. Benches shaped like aircraft fuselage elements will be installed, a passage will simulate a runway, and graffiti featuring airplanes will decorate the walls. In addition, locals will be able to enjoy the new Boris Tikhomirov Park nearby. A monument to an outstanding figure from the Russian aviation industry will be installed there. For more than half a century, he has dedicated his career to Kazan Aviation Industry since 1970.
The number of parking spaces on Dementieva Street will increase from 165 to 178. The project also includes the construction of playgrounds with slides and rope elements, with a separate playground for toddlers, as well as two sports grounds. Additionally, a chess and checker table and a basketball hoop with a football goal will be installed.
“We strive to make each courtyard unique, taking into account the wishes of the residents,” -emphasized the Mayor.
A bike path will also be laid outside the yard, connecting two public spaces - the Krylia Sovetov Park and the Gorbunov Kazan Aviation Plant, which is scheduled to open next year.
Two apartment buildings will be decorated with a mural depicting airplanes that will be illuminated at night. The Kazan Aviation Plant will donate the fuselage of a real aircraft, which will be transformed into benches.
