The first
inclusive center for additional education «Vmeste» operates in the format of
summer inclusive shifts, but from September, it will open its main clubs. In
one school year, the center will be able to accommodate up to 4,200 children,
including those with special needs. Rehabilitation, training, and leisure
activities for children will take place at one location. The Mayor of Kazan Ilsur
Metshin visited the new center.
«We are very happy
that such a wonderful coaches work here. We wish children to be happy with their
mothers and fathers. The wonderful musical instruments, computers, and robotics
are all here to help you learn new skills, be successful, and make your parents
proud»- said Ilsur Metshin.
The
administration of the Sovetsky city district came up with the initiative to
establis the center. The project became possible thanks to the support of the
Presidential Grants Fund, as well as the victory in a grant competition organized
by the Lemana Pro Foundation, as well as significant sponsorship and charitable
support.
Today, the
inclusive education center «Vmeste» is the first in the city to offer classes
for children with and without special needs. Eighteen qualified teachers will
be conducting classes here.
The enrollment
process has already begun, and 140 children with disabilities have expressed
interest. The establishment of such centers promotes empathy and tolerance
among children toward people with special needs. Mutual interaction fosters
emotional intelligence, communication skills, and the ability to assist and
interact.
