Today, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin visited the renovated industrial site of Municipal Unitary Enterprise «City Improvement» on Vorovskogo Street and the Gorvodzelenkhoz greenhouses complex on Daurskaya street.
The Municipal Unitary Enterprise «City Improvement» site has moved from Grivskaya Street to Vorovskogo Street. The land area increased 2.2 times to 2.4 hectares. The expansion of the site made it possible to concentrate repair services, warehouses and staff accommodation facilities in a single location.
The company serves 4.4 million square meters of roads in Aviastroitelny, Novo-Savinovsky, Kirovsky and Moskovsky city districts. A repair unit for 12 heavy machinery vehicles, warehouses for 15 thousand tons of reagents, staff accommodation facilities with showers and rest rooms for 250 employees have been built on the site. Modern jacks, lathes and drilling machines, compressors and tire fitting equipment were purchased. Repairs are performed by the full-time mechanics.
Later same day the Rais of Tatarstan and the Mayor of Kazan looked round the renovated Municipal Unitary Enterprise “Gorvodzelenkhoz” on Daurskaya Street. New greenhouses with an area of 11,500 square meters replaced the outdated buildings of the 1980s.
The new facility is fully automated now. The robotic seedling preparation line has increased productivity by more than 10 times: now the equipment produces up to 86,500 cassettes with seeds per hour. The design capacity of the facility allows for the cultivation of up to 2 million various flowers, including more than 1 million tulips. The climate control system and drip irrigation work in automatic mode. New greenhouses are fully adapted for year-round plant cultivation.
