A large-scale renovation program of school food halls continues in Kazan. One of the most significant facilities being renovated is a canteen at school № 35at 10A Garifa Akhunova Street. After the renovation, the dining area will be expanded by almost 100 seats, and a conveyor belt will be installed for collecting dirty dishes. The Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin inspected the progress of the renovation work.
This year, 12 school canteens will be renovated allowing to bring the total number of modern school cafeterias in the city to 188 by the start of the new school year. Space optimization is planned at school № 35. The office and cooking areas will be decreased, while the dining hall will be expanded. After the renovation, 374 students will be able to dine at the same time there.
“The Department of Food and Social Nutrition is working systematically to ensure the quality of the products and raw materials used in preparing breakfasts, lunches, and afternoon tea for children,”- said Ilsur Metshin.
The dining area of the new restaurant will become a real children's café with an aviation-themed design. The children have also chosen the name for the café – the Aviator. Airplane figures will be placed here, futuristic “flying” lights will be installed.
The renovation of the dining area began on May 26. So far, the walls have been moved according to the new project, and construction workers are now painting the floors, walls, and ceiling.
