After three qualifying stages, there are six
candidates for the post of chairperson of the Committee on Children and Youth
Affairs of the Executive Committee of Kazan. The final selection of candidates
for this position will be held this week and will be broadcast online, Ilsur
Metshin said today at the Business Monday meeting. He also suggested taking into
account the results of the popular vote when summing up the results.
The selection of applicants started on June 3, the
acceptance of applications ended on June 21, Bulat Aleyev, head of the staff of
the Executive Committee of Kazan, reported.
Eighty people applied for the post of chairperson of
the committee. Sixty-eight candidates who meet the requirements were admitted
to the next stage. At the second stage, 17 participants presented projects for
the development of the city's youth policy.
The third stage was the most active – 10 applicants
took part in a team business game, solved cases and found group solutions in
youth policy issues.
Six people qualified for the final stage. “We always
say to young people who want to change the life of Kazan for the better- you
are always welcome. You can start working at city enterprises or you can work
in the Executive Committee. You can start anywhere, the desire to work and change
the world for the better is important – Ilsur Metshin said. – You are welcome
if you want to serve people, to work for people. We are really seeking for new
ideas and we will choose a worthy person”.
