The labor market in Kazan shows a positive trend – the
unemployment rate is decreasing. 9,921 people are registered as unemployed in
the employment centers of the city. Compared to the same period last year, the
number of unemployed decreased by 2.5 times. The director of the Kazan
Employment Center Timur Mullin announced such rates today at the Business
Monday in the Executive Committee of the city.
Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, stressed that the
positive trends in the labor market indicates the economic recovery. “The labor
market in Kazan is gradually returning to the previous level. Serious work has
been done with the population – 11 thousand Kazan citizens have found a job,
the economy is rebounding”, - the head of the city noted.
At the end of the first half of 2021, the unemployment
rate is 1.55% of the workforce. “More than 4,700 people, out of the number of
unemployed who applied in 2020, are currently unemployed”, - Timur Mullin said.
According to the director of the Kazan Employment
Center, the labor market has changed compared to last year – in some sectors of
the economy, staffing needs significantly exceed the number of applicants,
causing a shortage in the real sector of the economy.
Ilsur Metshin noted that good workers are always
needed, especially for implementation such major projects as the construction
of the Voznesensky tract, the Gorkovsky Highway relief road. “Despite the
absence of major international events, we continue to work on serious
infrastructure projects, when the number of workers needs to be increased, and
the larger the facility, the more workers are needed”, - Ilsur Metshin
concluded.
