The Mayor of
Kazan Ilsur Metshin got acquainted with the work of the Kazan bakery and
confectionery plant today. The company is one of the largest and most
dynamically developing in the baking industry of Tatarstan – every day, the
plant produces 65 tons of bakery and confectionery products. Next year, the
company plans to increase the capacity of its products three times, to 170 tons
per day. The Mayor got acquainted with the situation at the enterprise during
this difficult period for business.
“We are developing dynamically, over the past three years we have significantly increased production capacity, only this year, as of December 1, revenue from the sale of goods amounted to 1 million 655 thousand 215 rubles,”- said Bulat Kutdusov, General Director of JSC Bakery and confectionery plant. Every day, products from the plant are delivered to 1.5 thousand stores throughout Tatarstan, and about 5% of products are delivered to schools and kindergartens. “We do not want to stop and plan to increase the capacity to 170 thousand tons per day. We plan to reach such indicators by June 2021”, - Bulat Kutdusov said.
Bulat Kutdusov told the Mayor that in the first months of the pandemic there was a product range shift, the production of cakes for stores fell. Mainly, the company produced regular bread and a loaf- popular with customers. In the near future, according to B. Kutdusov, the bakery plant will produce floor bread with various flavors, as well as unleavened bread with fermenter. “There is a demand for them, we try to follow all trends and be in market”, - explained the Director General of the plant.
The Mayor of Kazan visited a pastry shop that produces one ton of chak-chak and cakes every day. Bulat Kutdusov noted that all cakes are decorated manually, the expiry date, due to the nature of the products, is three days. Sweets are delivered not only to stores, but also to various social facilities. For example, at the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, the plant sent confectionery and bakery products to doctors on a weekly basis. “Medical workers worked around the clock, we really wanted to support them, so we decided to give them sweets”, - said Bulat Kutdusov.
The Mayor of Kazan emphasized that such charity work is very important. “You delivered various confectionery products to the front line of doctors – this is a good case, attention and support”, - Ilsur Metshin said. The head of the city joined the good action – he bought and sent to the children’s orphanage in Derbyshki a cake produced at the enterprise.
The head of the city also visited the production laboratory, where all incoming goods -flour, sugar, honey are examined.
The bakery and confectionery factory at 50 Adoratsky street was founded in 1986. For 34 years, the company has won a leading position in the bread industry not only in Kazan, but also in the entire Tatarstan. The average production capacity at the plant is 65 tons of products per day, of which 61 tons are bakery products, 4 tons are confectionery.
