In Kazan, 98 schoolchildren reached 100 points on
their Unified state exam, which is more than last year. Irek Rizvanov, head of
the Department of education, told about the results of the Unified state exam-2020
at a Business Monday at the Executive Committee of Kazan. The Mayor of Kazan
Ilsur Metshin held the meeting.
The Mayor emphasized that despite the difficulties,
the graduates coped with the exams and performed high results.
This year, out of 6002 graduates, 5650 people passed the
unified state exam. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the final test started
later – on July 3 – and ended on August 8.
In general, the results of the Unified exam coincide
with the national average, said I.Rizvanov. “Compared to last year, Kazan
graduates managed to improve their average point in six out of 14 subjects,
including Russian, physics, geography, social studies, history, and French.
Compared to last year, the average score in Russian increased by 0.45 and
amounted to 74.61 points”.
Along with this, the grade point average in
mathematics in comparison with 2019 decreased by 5.56 points and amounted to
58.45 points, and the share of those who did not pass the threshold exceeded
last year's average by 1.8%.
The number of high mark results has increased. The
number of papers rated 80 points or higher increased by 1.03%, with a total of
4440 exam papers receiving high marks.
The speaker noted that the
number of maximum results in mathematics and computer science has decreased. On
the contrary, there are more than 100 – point works in Russian. In addition, in
Tatarstan, 2 graduates scored the highest mark in biology, and both are
graduates of Kazan schools. More than half Tatarstan graduates out of 26, who
scored the highest mark in literature, are from Kazan this year.779 graduates
became medalists, which is 194 more than in 2019.
