The Malyshok kindergarten № 279 will open at 17
Okolnaya street after the overhaul by the beginning of school year in the
Moskovsky district of Kazan. After completion of the work, the kindergarten,
which was built more than half a century ago, will turn into a modern,
comfortable preschool facility. The Mayor of the city Ilsur Metshin controlled
the progress of renovation.
The kindergarten was built in 1969. Since then, the
technical requirements for preschool institutions have changed, so the overhaul
was necessary, said the head of the kindergarten Olga
Fedotova. There were nine groups in the Malyshok kindergarten, and after the renovation,
there will be another one for toddlers. Before the renovation, the capacity of kindergarten
was 230 children, then it will accommodate about 250-260 children.
The renovation started in May. The design project,
which involved a professional designer, took into consideration not only all
the requirements for preschool facilities, but also the wishes of kindergarten
employees and parents of children.
“It is immediately apparent that the project was made
by a professional designer. Even a specialist with very good taste will not be
able to create such a project. It is obvious that this was done by a
professional”, - the Mayor said.
During the renovation, a second sports hall will be built
in the kindergarten, allowing to conduct physical education classes for
children, and to open table tennis and choreography classes for them.
“I am glad that the overhaul has reached a new level –
it is not just replacing windows, networks and new design solutions, but
creating completely new conditions for pre – school children,- said Ilsur
Metshin. – This kindergarten is 50 years old, many generations of children has
grown up here. Kids and their parents, who will return here after the renovation,
will be surprised. If you compare it with what it was before the renovation,
it's just a different kindergarten”.
An important direction that will develop in
kindergarten after the overhaul is environmental education.
“It is very important that in addition to the
renovation of the building and creating comfortable conditions, you develop
educational content for children in advance – said the head of the city. – We
will do everything possible to open the kindergarten in autumn for children”.
Presently, the repair has been completed by about 70%,
and interior repair work continues, said Aliya Raimova, the head of the
contractor organization.
During the renovation, it is also planned to improve
the surrounding area – replace the fence around the building, put new canopies
and small architectural forms, change the road surface.
