In the first section of the second line of the Kazan
Metro, the construction of the right distillation tunnel from the
Akademicheskaya station to the 100th anniversary of TASSR has been
completed today. The work on this project lasted for one year. The construction
site was visited by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Ilsur
Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan and others.
Director General of Kazmetrostroy Marat Rakhimov
informed that the first 5.37-kilometer-long section includes four stations: 100th
anniversary of TASSR, Akademicheskaya, Zilant, and Tulpar. The work is expected
to be completed in 2027.
Alongside, the construction of the metro stations is
underway. The stations 100th anniversary of TASSR and Dubravnaya
will become interchange stations. Today, a 400-meter-long connecting line is
being built almost manually. Presently, 126 meters have already been completed,
and it is planned to complete the work in 2026. Invited miners from Donetsk are
also engaged in the work, the Press Office of the Rais of Tatarstan reports.
Marat Rakhimov also showed a scheme for the
prospective development of 2 sections of the second metro line in the direction
of the Universiade Village and the Republican Clinical Hospital. Pre-design
work is currently underway (tracing, source data collection, exploratory
drilling).
