Finishing work close to completion at Aviastroitelnaya subway station
(KZN.RU, November 27, by Renat Shirmanov) In December, finishing work is due to be completed at the new Aviastroitelnaya subway station. This was told by director of the "Kazmetrostroy" municipal company Marat Rakhimov to Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin. The three stations under construction are due to open in May 2013.
"We witness a high degree of readiness at the stations under construction. The work is in full swing. Kazan residents look forward to their opening, so it is vital that the deadlines are kept," Ilsur Metshin urged the “Kazmetrostroy” director.
The mayor also praised the station interior design, which is reminiscent of a fuselage. "It is significant that we've kept the name "Aviastroitelnaya", which is a tribute to our aircraft manufacturers and the glorious past of our aircraft industry. By giving this name to the station, we hope that the industry is reborn someday,” said Ilsur Metshin.
