(KZN.RU, November 28, by Taisiya Basharkina) Kazan Mayor Ilsur Metshin handed out city and state awards at Kazan City Hall before the start of the 18th session of Kazan City Duma.
Alexandr Slavutski, director of V.I. Kachalov Kazan Russian Academic Grand Drama Theater, was cited for his significant contribution to the development of theatrical art, and his name was entered in the Kazan Book of Honor. It may be recalled that the decision was taken at a meeting of the Kazan City Duma Presidium. Ilsur Metshin handed the Kachalov Theater director a certificate of registration in the Book of Honor, a badge and a symbolic gift – figurines of elephants, which the people's artist collects.
By the decree of the President of Tatarstan, the "Honored Civil Services Worker" title was awarded to the head of the Kazan funeral services administration Marat Ishkin for his long-time conscientious work.
