The second 8 – kilometers stage of the highway is
designed to ease traffic on the Mamadyshsky tract. Now, drivers will be able to
leave the city within seven minutes. Along the entire route, the lighting,
above-ground and underground pedestrian crossings were equipped, as well as
bike paths. A «free flow» system was linked to the toll section, allowing
drivers not to stop or slow down while paying. To monitor the transport and
safety of drivers, more than 45 video cameras, signage, and variable
information boards have been installed on the highway. Thanks to this, the
Voznesensky tract has become the most technologically advanced highway in the
city.
The construction of the Voznesensky tract began in 2021 and the first
stage was completed in 2023. This highway has become the fifth outbound highway
in the city and is the first city toll road in the republic. Ilsur Metshin, the
Mayor of Kazan, took part in the opening ceremony of the highway. Marat
Khusnullin, Chairman of the Government of Russia and Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam
Minnikhanov joined the ceremony via a video conference mode.
«The Voznesensky
tract was included in the city's plan in 1969. For 55 years, residents and
leaders of the republic dreamed about it. We want to thank our government for
the reconstruction of Gorkovskoye highway, for the implementation of projects
which allowed to reach 85% of the standard roads», – the Mayor said.

traffic on the Mamadyshsky tract. It provides for continuous traffic in three
lanes in each direction. The allowed speed is 70 km/h on this highway. The
width of the carriageway is about 27 meters, while the total surface area of
the highway is approximately 320,000 square meters. Two pedestrian crossings
have been built: one underground and one aboveground. A sidewalk with a length
of 11 kilometers and a width up to 4.5 meters has also been installed.
A bridge over the Noksa River was also constructed. A
sewage treatment plants, storm drains and an interchange next to the M7 highway
were installed. Along the road, 852 lighting poles and noise barriers were
