Ilsur Metshin tops the August’s media rating of the heads of the capitals of the Volga Federal District
The Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin topped the August’s media rating of the heads of the capitals of the Volga Federal District. The media index reached 23,678 points. The analytical company Medialogia prepared the rating based on the publications in federal and regional media.
The New Wave contest held in Kazan was the main newsworthy event of the city last month. Ilsur Metshin took part in the press conference of the event and called it a new tourist magnet of the city. The Mayor noted the importance of the contest that contributed to the growth of tourist flow, and increased the income of local businesses.
The media also covered the participation of the Mayor and the Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the opening of the Figure Skating Center. The Mayor informed that more than 600,000 Kazan residents and tourists had attended the celebrations on the City Day.
The top three of the media rating also included the head of Samara, Ivan Noskov, with 15,889 points, and the head of Ulyanovsk, Alexander Boldakin, with 14,528 points.
