Despite the
pandemic, the number of small and medium-sized enterprises has grown by more
than 3.8 thousand over the past year in Kazan. This was announced today by the
Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin at the XII Session of the Kazan City Duma at the City
Hall.
Tatarstan
President Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized that the capital of the republic
provides strong support to small and medium-sized businesses. “Small and
medium-sized businesses are being strongly supported in Kazan. If the share of
small and medium-sized businesses in the gross regional product of Tatarstan is
35.5%, then in Kazan the share of SMEs in the gross territorial product is
almost 40%”, - Tatarstan President noted.
A number of
measures have become a powerful support for representatives of small and
medium-sized businesses. These include a moratorium on fines for violations of
the Rules of landscaping, preferential operation of parking lots, deferred
payments for the installation of advertising structures and others. “These
measures have helped to revitalize business, therefore, at the request of
entrepreneurs, they have been extended for 2022”, - Ilsur Metshin said.
In 2021, the
number of small and medium-sized enterprises in the capital of Tatarstan
increased by more than 3.8 thousand. The number of self-employed has also
increased from 32.6 to almost 58 thousand people.
