In Kazan, the works on the Our Yard program, planned for this year, has almost been completed. One hundred and ten thousand residents of 227 yards at 430 houses saw the results of the renovation.

“In seven years, the yards of more than 2 thousand houses on an area of more than 2 million sq.m have been repaired in Kazan – this is comparable to the area of Innopolis or a third of such cities as Buinsk and Menzelinsk”, - the Mayor of Tatarstan capital said at the 10th session of the Kazan City Duma, which was held today at the City Hall.

In 2020, at the initiative of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, the Our Yard program was launched in the republic, deputy head of the Executive Committee Igor Kulyazhev reminded. The list of yards that need renovation includes the territories of 3475 houses. The program will run for 5 years – from 2020 to 2024.

Last year, under to the Our Yard program, the territories of 460 houses were landscaped, this year work is being carried out on the territory of 430 houses. Currently, the work has been completed by 98.8%.

In Kazan, the comprehensive approach was used for zoning and equipping the yards, the Mayor stressed. “Today, a yard is a place where our children play and develop, so it is very important to make playgrounds not only comfortable, well-maintained, but also safe, - he added. -Thanks to the support of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and the Our Yard program, which has no analogues in the country, the comfort of residents increases. The raise of the level of comfort leads to change in our worldview”.

More than 4.5 thousand appeals and requests were received from Kazan residents on yard improvement projects

Residents are actively engaged in the process of determining the scope of works. For their convenience, yard improvement projects are available on the official portal dvor.tatar. Kazan residents can also control the progress of work and make suggestions using the hotline and chat in the messenger or in social networks. According to I.Kulyazhev, 4,509 appeals have been received from Kazan residents this year.

“It has already become a tradition for us to discuss improvement projects with residents– said the Mayor of Kazan. - I ask you to continue this work, it is necessary to take into account the opinion of citizens in each project”.

The work on lighting installation was carried out by 99.1%

To date, the lighting work has been completed by 99.1%. In total, more than 2.5 thousand energy-saving LED lamps will be installed on 2 thousand new supports.

In addition, about 5 thousand parking spaces will be equipped in the yards this year.

Discussing with the deputies the issues of equipment of container sites for the solid waste collection, I.Kulyazhev said that during the development of the program there was a shortage of funds – in Kazan today it is about 200 million rubles. In many ways, it was caused by increase in the cost of construction materials.

“First of all, the shortage of funds affects the installation of equipment for container sites for the waste collection, - explained the deputy head of the Executive Committee. - The sites were prepared, and we have prepared a letter to the Prime Minister of Tatarstan regarding the installation of equipment”.

In addition, there is a possibility that in five years it will not be able to repair all the yards of the city, I. Kulyazhev added. “The yards of about 2.5 thousand houses need renovation, in 2 years we have landscaped the yards of 890 houses. At such a pace, we do not have time – he noted. –In this regard, we are taking all measures to renovate more yards next year and increase the pace”.

Meetings have already begun with residents of houses whose yards are planned to be included in the program of the next year, I.Kulyazhev added in conclusion.
