The Delicious Kazan Festival will be held on September 18 -19 at the Palace of Farmers. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, believes that it will be a successful event, because cordiality and hospitality are the hallmark of the capital of Tatarstan. The director of the Committee for Tourism Development of the city Daria Sannikova told about the program of the festival today on Business Monday.
“Gastronomic festivals are very popular all over the world. Some of them have centuries-old or even two-century traditions. For example, Oktoberfest in Munich. The “Delicious Kazan” festival is brand new, however, it has already proved its popularity: not only Kazan residents, but also residents of neighboring regions, tourists from all over Russia take a great interest in it. A first step has been taken. Our multinational cuisine, our cordiality and hospitality, which are the hallmark of the city – are the basis for the future success of this festival,”- the Mayor of Kazan said. He noted that a lot of work has been done to obtain the status of a gastronomic capital. Representatives of hospitality business took an active part in this.
The guests of the “Delicious Kazan” festival will watch performances by national teams, competitions and master classes by chefs of Kazan, and they will learn the secrets of the Tatar tea ceremony. This year, it will focus on the promotion of products from Tatarstan. Food stores that farm products will be marked with special signs, for the first time a gastronomic show battle “Tatar Grandmothers against chefs” will take place there.
