The outdoor advertising market of Kazan is gradually
returning to its pre-crisis rates. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, stressed
that the measures undertaken in 2020 allowed business representatives to
continue their work. “Despite the fact that advertising flows have changed, and
the main part has moved to the Internet, Kazan still retains the capacity for
outdoor advertising. We are pleased that preventive measures to support the
outdoor advertising market have helped many businessmen to survive and they
continue their work”, - he said today at the Business Monday meeting.
The head of the department of Outdoor Advertising and
Information, Askar Bagautdinov, reminded that last year, decisions were made on
deferred payments under contracts for outdoor advertising structures for the
second quarter of 2020, part of payments for the third and fourth quarters of
2020, as well as for the first quarter of 2021. The total amount of deferred
payments amounted to 197 million rubles, he said.
“These decisions allowed stabilizing the situation in the
outdoor advertising market, to keep companies from canceling contracts with the
Executive Committee, which would lead to the loss of the major non – tax revenue
source of the city,”- A. Bagautdinov said.
“Due to the double financial burden on market participants,
the current quarterly payments of 2021 were reallocated to monthly payments to
ease the burden. Thus, in 2021, taking into account deferred payments for 2020,
it is planned to receive about 450 million rubles”, - A.Bagautdinov said.
