A new building of the Sovetsky district Court opened
in Kazan. Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, chief of staff of Tatarstan
President Asgat Safarov, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin and others inspected the
building.

Street was built in a short time. Rustam Minnikhanov inspected the courtrooms,
judges’ offices and other premises. The head of the republic noted that the new
building meets all the requirements for modern justice facility. “The new
modern building of the Sovetsky District Court of Kazan is another important
step towards improving the quality of the administration of justice in the
republic”, - Tatarstan President’s Press Office quotes.
After inspection of the court Rustam Minnikhanov took
part in the meeting and got acquainted with the reports by the chairman of the
Tatarstan Supreme Court Ilgiz Gilazov, head of the Tatarstan Judicial
Department Zavdat Salikhov, the chairman of the sixth cassation court of general
jurisdiction Alexander Efanov.
R.Minnikhanov noted that 2020 was tough for everyone.
“The judicial system responded to serious challenges caused by coronavirus
infection in time: a reception of citizens in the courts was suspended; prevention
measures for judges and employees have been imposed; a smooth document management
was implemented by post and online, as well as judicial protection of urgent
cases continued”, – said Tatarstan President.
The challenge before you is to ensure judicial protection
of electoral rights of citizens and the legitimacy of the electoral process,
Tatarstan President reminded. In conclusion, Rustam Minnikhanov thanked
everyone for their work and awarded the distinguished employees.
