children's music school № 18 on Frunze Street, and in 1989 it moved to a
building with a total area of 2534.6 sq.m. at 25A Galimjan Barudi Street.
Now 460 children from six to eighteen years have music
lessons in school. There are piano, instrumental, wind, folk, vocal, art
departments, as well as the department of string instruments in school.
According to the director of the school Fanuz Gaisin, most children show
interest in piano.
The Mayor of Kazan visited the classrooms, talked with
teachers and young musicians of the school. The children noted that they practice
music with pleasure, largely due to the support of teachers.
Renovation of the building is planned to begin this
year, it will be held under the “Culture” national project. All 29 classrooms
will be renovated in the building, and special attention will be paid to the
assembly hall. Igor Portnov, the project designer, said that acoustic panels
will be installed on the walls, they will allow to convey the full power of the
sound of the instruments. The ceiling in the assembly hall will remain the
same.
As for the color scheme, light tones will be used. “We
want to make the room more airy, spacious, the main feature of the project will
be the design of the ceiling and floor in the lobby, where we will use tiles
and lamps to create an imitation of piano keys”, - said the designer.
In addition, this year in the city, according to the “Culture”
national project, the children's music school № 10 in the Yudino district at 49
