In the Novo-Savinovsky
district of Kazan, it is planned to reconstruct the Seagull Lakes located near
the city hospital № 7. There will be zones of rehabilitation, fitness activity,
areas of art therapy, aeroionotherapy, phototherapy and much more. The project
of reconstruction of lakes was introduced to the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin.
The total area of the territory of the Seagull Lakes
is 9.5 hectares. According to the project, the reconstruction of the territory
will take place in two stages. At the first stage of the works will take place
at the Small Seagull Lake with an area of 2.6 hectares. According to architect
Vitaly Volkov, this territory will be a unique complex for the rehabilitation
of patients of the hospital № 7. “This is a completely new approach to the
improvement of park areas near hospitals, where great attention is paid to both
the rehabilitation of patients and doctors who also require emotional relief”, -
Vitaly Volkov told the Mayor of Kazan.
A large team of architects, doctors, environmentalists
and residents of nearby houses worked on the project of the future park. Each
territory of the public space is divided into thematic zones that are
responsible for their own health effect.
For instance, in the new park, reflexology will be
practiced, where everyone will be able to enjoy view to the lake on the
benches, psammatotherapy (sand treatment-ed. note), social therapy will include
various activities, in the aromatherapy zone, rehabilitation with therapeutic
tonic herbs will be held, as well as drawing lessons in the art therapy zone. The
aeroionotherapy – treatment with ionized air-is also organized for patients. In
addition, sports grounds, rehabilitation and sports simulators will be
installed in the park, a terrain cure area will be held (a method of
sanatorium-resort treatment that provides for physical activity in the form of
walking, climbing in mountainous areas along certain routes – ed. note). In
addition, patients will be able to grow plants that will be planted in the
garden.
Vladimir Zhavoronkov, Deputy Minister of health of Tatarstan,
said project is unique for the country. According to him, the uniqueness of the
future park is in its versatility – all conditions will be created here for the
rehabilitation of patients and the rest of doctors. “This project is a
breakthrough for us, I have never seen such a comprehensive approach. We talk a
lot about patient services, and this is where this concept is implemented”, -
Vladimir Zhavoronkov said.
The second stage of the reconstruction will be the
territory of the Big Seagull Lake, its area is 6.8
hectares. There will be a walking area with wooden walking paths, comfortable
benches and an observation deck. Both patients of the hospital and residents of
the district will be able to walk around the area.
Ilsur Metshin emphasized that the new park will be the
first stage in the creation of recreational areas in this area. “Unfortunately,
in the 90s, the residents of the blocks were deprived of park areas, there was
a dense development. The first stage of the creation of walking areas will be
the park of Seagull Lakes, and then the embankment on Gavrilov Street will be developed.
We will start building in stages”, - Ilsur Metshin concluded.
