Thanks to the Kazan program of concessional lending,
the Zdravmedtech-Povolzhye company, specializing in the manufacturing of
disposable medical clothing and masks, was able to significantly increase
production and expand the sales market. Today, the company provides medical uniform
not only to hospitals in Tatarstan, but also to 30 other regions of Russia. “It
is good that the measures to support small and medium-sized businesses introduced
for Kazan entrepreneurs work and help them develop”, - said Ilsur Metshin, the
Mayor of Kazan, during a visit to the company today.
“We have about 80 thousand small and medium-sized
businesses employing 170 thousand people. Entrepreneurs form a third of the
gross territorial product, so it is very important to support the business”, - Ilsur
Metshin said.
ZAO Zdravmedtech-Povolzhye was established in Kazan in
2000. The company produces medical disposable clothing and underwear made of
non-woven materials. The company employs more than 200 people.
Today, the company is developing and expanding
production, largely due to measures to support small and medium-sized
businesses in Kazan. In 2013, the company for the first time used the program
of concessional lending to small and medium-sized businesses, receiving 4
million rubles for the development of its business. “With these funds, we
purchased thermo formers in Spain – the equipment necessary for packaging
products. We were one of the first to use such equipment for packaging disposable
medical clothing, which made our work much more efficient”, - said Evgeny Khalevin,
director of the company. In 2015, the company again took advantage of the
opportunity of concessional lending and obtained 5 million rubles to replenish
working capital, he added.
Presently, the company supplies its products to 30
regions of Russia. “About 35% of the products are delivered to medical
institutions of Tatarstan, about 60-70% are sent outside the republic”, - E.Khalevin
said.
During the coronavirus pandemic, Zdravmedtech-Povolzhye
significantly increased the volume of products: if earlier the company produced
6 thousand sets per month, then after the beginning of the pandemic, within a
month, it increased production to 100 thousand sets.
For information, before the pandemic, the company did
not sew disposable masks, but last year a new line for their production was
introduced. According to the head of production Vladimir
Shirokov, currently 1 million masks for medical institutions are being produced
here per day.
The Mayor of Kazan inspected the production facilities
and new equipment, and talked with the employees of the enterprise. “You show a
good example of entrepreneurship, when the raw materials of Tatarstan are
transformed into the final product thanks to your entrepreneurial activity and the
professionalism of Kazan residents,”- the head of the city said.
The company plans to create a production building at
the Technopolis Novaya Tura, as well as in the future – import abroad. “We have
developed a new technology – ultrasound bonding, in this case without the use
of threads, this technology will allow to increase production by 50%, however to
increase this production significantly, we need other facilities”, - said E.Khalevin.
