Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, got acquainted with the modernization of
the Kazan Dairy Plant today. The modernization continues for more than three
years at one of the largest milk processing plants in the Volga region.
"We are encouraged by the plans to implement a
large modernization project. We can see how actively re-equipment is being developed – new equipment, a new product line. It is
important that there is a modern production facility in Kazan. This means that
our villagers will have more opportunities to sell their milk, and for us it is
the food security of the city, a diversity of products in stores, affordable,
high-quality and eco- friendly”, - I.Metshin said.
Kazan Dairy Plant, established in 1932, is one of the oldest
enterprises in the city. Currently, it provides about 70 types of dairy and
fermented milk products to the Russian market.
In 2017, the company began implementing an investment
project for modernization. It is planned to be held in three stages.
Currently, the second stage is under way, by the end
of which the dairy plant should reach the level of processing up to 700 tons
per day.
The third stage starts next year, which implies
infrastructure changes, which will allow the company to process up to 900-1000
tons of milk per day.
