Kazan Mayor Ilsur Metshin visited the new building of
kindergarten № 15 in the Vakhitovsky district of the city. The Mayor called it
another successful example of public-private partnership. The kindergarten,
built on a private land, will soon be transferred to the municipality.
Construction of a building on 2 A Eniki street started
in December 2019. The kindergarten is designed for five groups of all ages with
120 children. Svetlana Zakharova, Deputy Head of the Department of education, noted
that a new preschool on this territory will be of high demand, most
kindergartens in the city center have a small capacity, and new housing is
being actively built in this area
Ilsur Metshin visited two groups, a music hall and a
psychologist's room. All the premises are planned to be equipped according to
current standards, said Elena Vasilieva, head of the kindergarten. Each group
is equipped with air recirculators for decontamination of room, and equipment
for children with disabilities, such as a wheelchair lift in the music hall.
“Providing children with places at the preschools is
under our close attention. This is another example of a public-private
partnership, when a kindergarten is built on a private
land. But today we have agreed to transfer it to municipal ownership”, - the head
of the city said.
Ilsur Metshin reminded that 11 pre-school institutions
were built in Kazan last year. This year, nine kindergartens will be built. “It
is important that today we set the standard: we build not only housing and
apartments, but also social facilities nearby, within walking distance. As an
example – a new good quality kindergarten with 120 beds. We hope that soon the
kids will celebrate a housewarming party here”, - the Mayor concluded.
