Winners of the city contest “Woman of the year. Man of
the year: women's view” were awarded today at the Kazan city Hall. On the eve
of the International Women's Day, the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin presented
awards to women and men who have made a notable contribution to the
socio-economic development of the Republic and the city.
Opening the event, the mayor congratulated all women
on the upcoming holiday- the 8th of March. He noted that today women
contribute to all the branches of city’s economy.
Before awarding the winners of the city competition,
I.Metshin presented jubilee medals “75 years of Victory in the Great Patriotic
war 1941-1945”, as well as Republican and city awards.
In the “A woman – mother” category, the winners have
become two mothers of large families from Kazan – Svetlana Stolyarenko and
Guzel Raskaleyeva.
Dinara Khakimova, the head of the art studio at the
residential complex Krasnaya Gorka, who created her own type of art painting,
and Margarita Kovarskaya, Professor of the Institute of Philology and Intercultural
communication of the KFU, with half a century of teaching experience, were the
winners in the category “A woman – culture and spirituality”.
Natalia Gilyazeva, director of the Alpari charity fund,
received a special recognition. She participates in almost all activities of
the fund, which are supported by citizens.
The creative director of the fashion brand, fashion
designer Yekaterina Borisova won in the category “A businesswoman”.
“A woman- leader” has become the director of the
League of good people charity fund, coordinator of the project “Equal
opportunities for children”, a member of the regional headquarters of the
Russian movement “National Front” Liliya Mukhametzyanova and a specialist in
youth cooperation of the Kazan powder mill Aliya Sungatullina.
Liana Sirazetdinova, manager of the MEGA Kazan mall, accepted
the title of “A woman – role model of the year". Olga Lebedeva, head of
the Central children's library, also won in this category, her projects – The book
keepers, Open your heart with kindness and others- capture children's attention
from the computer to literature and increase their interest in reading.
Anna Batalova, an engines assembly-fitter of the 5th
category at the Kazan motor-building plant,
received a prize in the category “My destiny – my profession”. She shared the
victory in this category with Elena Gubaidullina, a worker of chemical water
treatment of the 4th category, the chair labor organization at Kazanorgsintez, and a
veteran of the Tatarstan chemical industry.
This year, Venera Khammatova, Professor of the Kazan National
Research Technological University, won the nomination “A woman- scientist”.
The victory in the category “Heroes of the third age”
was the Homefront worker Raikha Slatinskaya. From 1943, she worked at the Gorbunov
aviation plant, and was awarded the medal “Valorous Labor during the Great
Patriotic war 1941-1945”. The award in this category was also presented to
Irina Zaramenskikh, a veteran of Kazenergo, who worked at the company for 40
years and has run the gamut from a laboratory assistant to an engineer, as well
as to Svetlana Panina, a tour guide of the Museum of the Kazan optical and
mechanical plant.
Traditionally, on the eve of the major spring holiday,
“Men of the year” are awarded according to the female version. So, in the
category “Man – noble heart” the winner was a singer, people's artist of
Tatarstan, honored artist of Russia, philanthropist Salavat Fatkhutdinov. “A
Male leader” has been recognized Ilsur Khismatullin, director of the Zarechye
housing company.
