The working group session on construction and renovation of architectural buildings
on the territory of the historical settlement of Kazan was held today at the
Executive Committee by the Mayor of the capital of Tatarstan Ilsur Metshin. 11 out
of 12 venues considered by the commission will be submitted to Tatarstan
President for approval. The chief architect has proposed to impose standard
house projects for the historical site as part of the third stage of “Downtown
Kazan – sustainable development” concept.
During the session, participants inspected venues on Gogol str., 8,
Spartakovskaya str., 83, Pravo-Bulachnaya str., 31, Karelskaya str., 41,
Sibirskiy pereulok, 20, Karim Tinchurin str., 2b, and residential complex on
the intersection of Shalyapin and Pavlyukhin str., area near the former
military hospital, a retail property on Tukai str., a hotel on Kalinin str., a
terrace on Nesmelov str.
The experts prohibited the reconstruction of the gas station on Tinchurin
str., as the project has not been finalized.
Also, the session discussed the issue of standard residential construction
on the territory of a historical settlement. “Not all citizens have the financial
opportunity to order designs at the architectural bureaus, so we propose to impose
a standard houses block that could be used in the historical part of the city
as part of the third stage of “Downtown
Kazan – sustainable development” concept,” - I.Tukhvatullina said. The mayor of
Kazan supported the initiative and instructed to develop several options for
the choice of owners of residential buildings. “Citizens will be grateful for
this”, - the mayor concluded.
As a result of the meeting, 11 out of 12 venues considered by the commission
will be submitted to Tatarstan President for approval.
