"Delovoi Kvartal" magazine names Mayor of Kazan "Man of the Year"
(KZN.RU, December 9, by Alisa Rozanova). The mayor of Kazan was named "Man of the Year" by the “Delovoi Kvartal” magazine.
The making of nominee lists in the various market sectors began in June. The nominees included applicants, who, according to the magazine, most successfully implemented various projects in 2010-2011, including those deemed to be socially significant, innovative and having an appreciable impact.
The winner in the main "Man of the Year" category was Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin.
The "Man of the Year” title in the "Culture" category was awarded to the head of the Directorate of Kazan’s Holiday Entertainment Programs Igor Sivov. Among the most successful projects in which he participated were the arrival in Kazan of Cirque du Soleil and the annual international festival "Creation of Peace". It should be noted that Igor Sivov was one of the producers of the film "The True Fairy Tale", which grossed more than 30 million rubles.
