At the same time, she will continue to participate in making important decisions for the city and work in town planning commissions as an architect. This became known during the presentation of the improvement concept of Yunusovskaya Square and the boulevard on Fatkullin Street. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, thanked Tatiana Prokofieva for productive work as the chief architect of Kazan.

“Everything is changing, and Tatiana Prokofieva decided to leave the bureaucratic work, even though it had some elements of creativity, and she will continue to work as an architect”, said the Mayor of Kazan.

The formation of the main urban planning documents, including the new general plan of the city, began under the leadership of Tatiana Prokofieva. The renovation of industrial zones and the restoration of the historic center of the city, plans for many areas in the city, the design of public spaces, as well as the road network were carried out. She entered the practice of organizing international open architectural competitions and bringing leading architects of the world to addressing urban issues, built dozens of iconic objects, including sports facilities, the center of “Kazan”, formed an expressive architectural appearance of the right bank of the Kazanka, introduced new standards for the construction of residential complex with social infrastructure and parking lots.

“10 years ago, we agreed to work together for the next 5 years. Then Tatiana Prokofieva worked in America. But I managed to persuade her to come to help her hometown in the improvement of public spaces and the renovation of the historical center and the preparation for the landmark events that took place in Kazan: Universiade, the FINA, the World Cup”, remembered the head of the city. “Then I told her that this would be history, because, in these 10 years, Kazan will experience such rapid growth and development that America has been going through for 100 years. And I did not deceive her”.

“I want to thank you for your tireless creative work and love for Kazan on behalf of our entire team and residents of the city”, said Ilsur Metshin.

The chief architect of Kazan thanked the Mayor of the city for the confidence placed in her. “I want to express my gratitude to you for your attitude, understanding, your support and for faith in me”, noted T. Prokofieva.
