A school for 1.5 thousand students will open in the Kazan residential complex “Vesna” by September 1

(KZN.RU, June 7, Alina Berezhnaya). Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, assessed the construction of the multidisciplinary school №185 for 1501 pupils in the residential complex “Vesna”. Now there are works on the installation of engineering networks, the facade, as well as finishing work inside the building. The construction work at the school is completed by 90%. The school is scheduled to open by September 1.

According to the project, a multidisciplinary school with a natural science in-depth study will be divided into thematic blocks: classrooms, sports, public and administrative blocks. Children will be able not just to gain knowledge, but also to attend various sections in the new school. Thus, the school will have workshops for processing wood and metal, a film and photo studio, school television in different languages and a theater in the native language. Also, the school has a design activity zone, a two-story library and study rooms for the USE. Conditions are created for the study of children with disabilities in the future school, including people with limited mobility. Elevators will work for them in the school.

Ilsur Metshin walked through the corridors of the future school, looked at the classes, the assembly hall for 500 seats, 2 canteens with 250 seats and gym. The head of the city also saw where football, basketball and volleyball fields will be established on the school grounds for playing sports in the fresh air.

Natalya Stakheeva, the acting head of the educational institution, said that the enrollment of students to the school continues, their number grows every day. 100 employees will work at the school.

The Mayor of Kazan noted that there is no doubt that on September 1, children will come to study at the new school. “Construction of the school is at the final stage. It has everything so that children receive both education and extra-curricular life, go to sections, and do sports”, said I. Metshin. He added that social infrastructure is being built at the same time as residential buildings. “Earlier, we used to build housing, and only after decades the social infrastructure appeared. Now social conditions are ahead of housing construction. Parents will be able to see through the window their child going to school and back”, said I. Metshin.

The construction of the school in the framework of the federal target program “Housing” began in January last year. The developer of the object of 31031.36 square meters is the OOO “Ak Tash”.

Roman Fatkhutdinov, the head of the Sovetsky district’s administration of Kazan, Ilnar Khidiyatov, the head of the Department of Education, Rima Mukhamedshina, the general director of the Department of Food and Social Catering of Kazan, representatives of the customer, developer, contractor, and others also visited the future school.
