I. Metshin about the kindergartens’ overhaul: “There is a lot of work to be done, but we have finished the problem points”

(KZN.RU, June 11, Alena Miroshnichenko). The overhaul of kindergarten №235 in Sovetsky district continues in Kazan. Today, the construction works in a two-story brick building of 1965, which started in April of this year, have been completed by 30%. They plan to deliver the object by the end of August. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of the Tatarstan’s capital, familiarized himself with the current results of the overhaul.

Marina Kolesnikova, the head of the kindergarten, said that since the construction, the building had only routine repairs for 54 years. Therefore, an integrated approach to the restoration of the kindergarten building is required. “We are very grateful that our kindergarten was included in the overhaul program. The parents are also pleased, they are eagerly awaiting the opening of the kindergarten”, she said.

“Today we have completed about 30% of all planned work. We repaired the roof at 90%, we still have to make the flooring of the painted sheets. This will be done within a week, now we are waiting for the material delivery”, said Eric Minzaripov, the head of the subcontracting organization OOO “KultStroy”. The general contractor is the OOO “RCC Engineering”.

Now security and fire alarm systems, heating, ventilation and electricity are being replaced in the building. Within two weeks, the windows will be completely replaced, and the finishing work will start. In addition, asphalting, improvement of the territory adjacent to the building, repair of the fence, installation of tents and small architectural forms are planned at the site. “From 15 to 20 people work every day at the site. We plan to complete the repair by August 20”, said E. Minzaripov.

Contractors and employees of the educational institution work in tandem, noted the manager. “At the moment, the project of the facade is being discussed. Everyone is interested in the kindergarten to become beautiful, bright, and meeting all the requirements of modern education”, marked M. Kolesnikova.

The kindergarten №235 is designed for 115 children, but 161 children are enrolled in six groups there. Today, all children are placed in the nearby kindergartens of the neighborhood.

“Overhaul of kindergartens is a very important program. We are grateful to Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT. He decided to hold it, he supports, finances it, because not a single city, not a single municipality could cope with it without support”, marked I. Metshin during the inspection. He reminded that this year the overhaul of 16 kindergartens is scheduled in Kazan. “We have already repaired the “urgent” buildings that really required quick measures. We still have 150 out of the 200 kindergartens that require capital repairs. We have not even passed the equator. There is a lot of work to be done, but we have finished the most problem points”, the Mayor noted.

After the inspection, the head of the city promised to assess the work done when the repair is completed.

Iskander Giniyatullin, the deputy head of the Executive Committee, Dmitry Anisimov, the chairman of the Housing and Communal Services Committee, Ilnar Khidiyatov, the head of the Department of Education, Roman Fathutdinov, the head of the Sovetsky district’s administration, and others also took part in the inspection.
