Kazan young professionals have won in the national team of Tatarstan at WorldSkills Russia

(KZN.RU, May 27, Alina Berezhnaya). The national team of the RT took the first place in the VII National Championship “Young Professionals” in the team standings. The winners of the national championship will be recommended to the expanded WorldSkills team for participation in the World Championships in Shanghai in 2021 and EuroSkills in 2022 in St. Petersburg. And three Kazan citizens will take part in the world championship in Kazan in August: Aisylu Nurutdinova and Timur Kayumov from the Kazan Trade and Economic Technical School, Anastasia Vashurina from the International College of Service in “Floristics”, reported Artur Valiakhmetov, the chairman of the Committee on Economic Development.

The Tatarstan national team won 55 golden, 47 silver and 39 bronze medals in the finals of the VII National Championship Young Professionals. Positive results on the 5 competencies assigned to the Kazan Executive Committee, such as “Floristics”, “Cooking”, “Confectionery”, “Restaurant service” and “Hairdressing”, contributed to the national team success at the last National Championship “Young Professionals”. As A. Valiakhmetov noted, 8 out of 14 contestants won prizes and one contestant received a medallion for professionalism. Thus, Kamila Bagautdinova won in the competence “Floristics”, and Karina Kiyamova among juniors. In the competence “Hairdressing”, the gold was taken by Anna Andriyanova. The bronze medalist in the “Cooking” is Roman Minin. All the contestants rose to the podium in the competence “Restaurant service”: Aida Zakeyan took the second place, Vadim Galeev the third place, Ilaria Bagautdinova and Ramil Shakirov won the second place among juniors.

Professional skill competitions “Skills of the wise” for specialists over 50 years old were held along with the main championship in specialized centers of competence. Tatiana Ovchinnikova, a teacher of the Kazan Trade and Economic Technical School, took the honorable first place in the competence of “Restaurant Service”.

About 17 thousand spectators visited the VII National Championship “Young Professionals (WorldSkills Russia)”, which was held in Kazan from 21 to 23 of May. In total, about 1700 contestants from 85 subjects of the country, as well as about 170 foreign contestants from 23 countries of the world, took part in the competitions. The main site for the competition was the International Exhibition Center “Kazan Expo”, as well as 5 mobile sites. The contestants showed their skills in the competencies of six blocks of professions: construction, information and communication technologies, creativity and design, production and engineering technologies, services, as well as transport and logistics.

“In general, experts noted a high level of past competitions and organizational events. The competitions have become an excellent test before the 45th World Championship of WorldSkills Kazan 2019”, summed up A. Valiakhmetov.

Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, congratulated the winners of the competition and their mentors with good results. “It’s hard work to prepare not just a professional, but a virtuoso.
