May 27, Alina Berezhnaya). On June 1, an extensive program of entertainment
events is scheduled for the Children's Day in Kazan. Children and their parents
will be able to celebrate the holiday in parks, squares, museums, and Kazan’s
cultural centers, said Airat Faizov, the chairman of the Committee for Children
and Youth Affairs, at the Business Monday.
The
celebration will start from 9 am near Central Stadium, where children's bike
competitions will take place. Sports activities will continue in the park
“Krylya Sovetov”. From 10 am, you can play football, futsal, basketball there.
Everyone can run a distance of 10 and 4.2 km on the Green Marathon in Gorky
Park. The sports festival will also be held in the Uritsky Park, where an open
cup on technical sports will be held. At 2 pm, young Kazan citizens will see
the breakdance battle.
At 2 pm,
the final city stage of the All-Russian competitions among young football
players “Leather Ball” will continue at the stadium “Trudovye Reservy”.
At 10 am, a
rock concert and a children's festival “We love the Kremlin” will take place on
the territory of the Kazan Kremlin.
An
extensive entertainment program for children was prepared in the Aksenov
Square, the House of Culture “Konstantinovka”, the park “Kaleidoscope”, as well
as in the yard of the houses №81, 83, 85 on Amirkhan Prospect and the house №37
on Chuikov Street.
Animators,
master classes, board games, soap bubbles and sweets will be prepared on the
Kremlin Embankment. There the festive program will begin at 1 pm.
Also at 10
am, the championship “Childhood” will begin in the Gorkinsko-Ometievsky forest.
Children can take part in sports competitions, master classes, and interactive
competitions.
On May 31
at 10 am, a bike race for children with disabilities will be held in the
Gorkinsko-Ometyevsky Forest. On June 1, the All-Russian Swimming Tournament
among children with Down Syndrome “Pobedim Vmeste” (Rus. “We will win
together”) will be held at the sports school “Kasatka”.
Ilsur
Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, instructed to pay attention to security measures
in places of mass celebrations. “Children are our greatest value. I wish that
the Children's Day would leave only bright memories. We are systematically
working to ensure that they live and develop in a comfortable and safe city”,
