The school №6 of the Privolzhsky districts of Kazan won Grand Prix of the festival “Healthy School”

(KZN.RU, May 15, Alena Miroshnichenko). Today the festival “Healthy School” has ended in Kazan. It took place during April and united 21 educational institutions of the city. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, presented awards to the winners of the project in the hall of the school №179 of the Novo-Savinovsky district.

“Health is a basic value, the most important condition for development and self-realization. Much is being done in Kazan to ensure that the younger generation grows up in comfortable conditions and has every opportunity to preserve and promote health”, said the Mayor opening the event. He noted that almost all old schools were repaired in the city, teen clubs were being updated, and great attention was paid to the organization of full-fledged hot meals in all schools of the city.

The Mayor of Kazan marked that education in the capital of Tatarstan reached a qualitatively new level, bringing up purposeful and motivated children. It was possible thanks to the consistent work aimed at providing children with decent and most comfortable conditions for study. The party project of the local branch of the United Russia “Healthy School” is aimed at this. It has been successfully implemented in Kazan for the third year in a row and was officially recognized as one of the best in Russia.

According to I. Metshin, the project has affected such problems as insufficient physical activity of schoolchildren, their fascination with fast food and harmful carbonated drinks. “Another important problem that the whole world does not yet know how to solve is gadgets. Teenagers replaced real life with them. Instead of walking, doing sports, and socializing with friends, they hang on the Internet for days. This leads to such consequences as an increase in the incidence of mental disorders, neurosis, and other diseases. Our schools should take part in finding solutions to these problems as well”, he marked.

Thus, the development of preventive areas for strengthening and maintaining the health of schoolchildren is under control of the United Russia party. Within the framework of the project, doctors and medical institutions conduct interactive lessons on the principles of a healthy lifestyle, the prevention of various diseases, the dangers of cigarettes, drugs and alcohol. Within two years, they visited 21 schools and covered 12 thousand children. The main goal is to cover all schools in the city.

The competition “Healthy School” took place in several stages in April. The first was the creation of videos that reveal the implementation of a project on the formation of a healthy lifestyle and the prevention of diseases. Then the school teams participated in discussions with speakers from the healthcare, education, deputies and researchers. They discussed problems of organizing the daily routine and ways to solve them, physical activity of schoolchildren, proper nutrition and the creation of a psychologically comfortable environment for schoolchildren. At the third stage on April 11, students and teachers of Kazan schools presented their creative presentations and exhibition posters. The participating schools were evaluated according to such criteria as the problem relevance, the originality of its solution, the content of the performance, artistry and the performance culture.

Students and teachers of the school №35, the educational center “Galaxy” of the Privolzhsky district took the first place in this competition. The second place went to the school №152 of the Kirovsky district. The third place was divided by the school №175 of the Sovetsky district and the school №179 of the Novo-Savinovsky district. A separate, highest award, the grand prix, as well as a certificate for the purchase of equipment, was given to the school №6 of the Privolzhsky district. Also, another school was celebrated by the originality of the performance at the final concert of the festival. Fanis Nurmukhametov, the head of the United Russia of the Kazan City Duma, the director of the Kazan Zoo, handed tickets to the zoo for students of the school №82 of the Privolzhsky district.

“Education in Kazan should be stronger and more efficient. We will continue to build schools, equip them with the latest technology and create a unified educational space, comfortable for teachers and students. Bringing up healthy, gifted, positively motivated boys and girls is one of the most important priorities in our joint work”, the Mayor of Kazan said to the teaching staff of the city’s schools. He thanked them for their activities, non-indifference, professionalism and cohesion in working with the younger generation.
