In addition, this year they plan to adopt a new 6-year resettlement program from emergency housing. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, told about the construction sector of the city at the reporting XXXII session of the Kazan City Duma.
“Our most difficult task is systematically carried out thanks to the support of the republic’s leadership: we are solving the housing problems of deceived shareholders and residents of emergency houses in Kazan”, marked the head of the city. He reminded that today there are 14 problem houses of shared construction in Kazan. The developers are the “Fon” and the “Svey”. Last year, 4 houses for 974 apartments were delivered in Kazan. This year, it is planned to deliver 4 more houses to 733 apartments. The work is now being actively carried out in the first and second houses of the RC “Molodezhny” on Noksinsky Spusk, in the house №4 on Chetaev Street, and also in the house on Chistopolskaya Street in the 68th quarter.
As for the relocation of residents from emergency housing, the Mayor said that the implementation of the targeted program for 2013-2017 was completed in 2018. The program included 89 emergency houses of Kazan. Thanks to the implementation of this program, almost 5000 Kazan citizens were resettled from emergency housing.
“In 2019, we expect the adoption of a new program until 2024. This will allow relocating 51 more emergency houses, and these are 557 families”, noted the Mayor.
In general, the situation in housing construction is stable, said I. Metshin. Last year, 804 thousand square meters of housing was delivered in Kazan, of which 692 thousand are apartment buildings. The annual program is 100.5% complete.
“We enter the top 10 among million-population cities in terms of growth rates of housing delivering, along with Rostov-on-Don, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, and Samara”, said the Mayor.
