(KZN.RU, December 25, Ksenia Shvetsova). This year, Kazan built and reconstructed 120 city roads, 60 settlement, and 3 access roads to the dachas, which unite dozens of garden associations. This is 20% more than last year, said Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, during the program “Theme” on the TV channel “Efir” today.
For two years, a record amount has been allocated for road works in Kazan, more than 12 billion rubles.
Also, 420 yards were repaired in Kazan in addition to roads, said I. Metshin. Today, 81% of urban roads and 73% of yards have been renovated in the capital of Tatarstan. “This is a great job. We were in the complaints’ zone on the roads, but today we can confidently state that Kazan has one of the best capitally repaired road systems in the country. Of course, there are still things to work on, so we will continue to do it next year”, said the Mayor.
The funds in the amount of 12.5 billion rubles went on the repair of 355 Kazan roads with a total area of 6.2 million square meters, including the routes of the Confederations Cup and the World Cup. The roads were repaired in 26 residential areas.
