Free shuttles will be launched especially for this on the days of the championship. They will go to the International Exhibition Center “Expo”, where the main competitions will take place. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of the capital of the RT, spoke about this today in the “Theme” on the TV channel “Efir”.
In November, the regional stage of the WorldSkills was held at 38 sites in 9 settlements in Tatarstan. Participants competed in 136 competencies. The strongest of them will join the national team of Russia, which will represent their country at the world stage in Kazan in 2019. “We hope that the best professional masters of Kazan will join the national and the Russian teams”, said I. Metshin. He added that not only masters and professionals in various professions, but also all residents and guests of the city would be able to attend the championship. “This is an incredible event. 60 competencies, the best masters do extraordinary things before your eyes. You have to see it. We hope that this will also increase the respect and the role that the working professions play for young people. ”
The WorldSkills is an international non-commercial movement. Its goal is to increase the prestige of working professions and to develop vocational education through the organization of competitions in professional skills both in each individual country and around the world.
The venue of the official opening and closing ceremonies of the world championship will be the Kazan Central Stadium.
