(KZN.RU,
February 9, Alsu Safina). The number of students in Kazan will increase by 21
thousand (18%) to the 2019-2020 school year. The number of students will be 135
600 in three years, whereas now there are 114,800. Ilsur Hadiullin, the head of
the Education Department, cited the following data during the traditional
annual report to Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan.
One of the
major problems of education today is the lack of schools, marked the speaker.
Ilsur Hadiullin drew attention to the fact that 14% of students enrolled in the
second shift at the moment: it is stored in the 68 schools of Kazan. At the
same time, it is planned to transfer all students in Russian schools for
training in one shift by 2025 according to the federal program.
Now, 2
schools are being built in the city, each for 1224 places: on the street
Azinskaya-2 and the RC “Seventh Heaven”. In addition, it is planned to build 4
more schools up to 2020 within the framework of the national program. I.
Hadiullin hoped that some of the schools will be built at the expense of
investors.
The coverage
of children by pre-school education is 75%, which is more than in the republic
(71%) and Russia (64%), although the shortage of places are not only there, but
also growing, according to I. Hadiullin. 18 thousand children from 1.5 to 3
years old are on queue to kindergartens. This is due to the increasing birth
every year. So, the 24564 newborns appeared in 2016 in Kazan, which is more
than in 2015 by 501 children.
The head of
Education Department called the Privolzhsky district in the number of problem
ones (street Dubravnaya, the 10th neighborhood, street Syrtlanova - Garifyanov,
Prospect Pobedy, and the neighborhood “Emerald City”) and the Sovetsky district
(neighborhoods “Azino-1”, “Azino-2”, “XXI century”), where the lack of child
care are the most acute.
Last year,
5 kindergartens for 1140 places were put into operation, 3 of them are in the
“Sun City” and 2 are in the “Salavat Cupere”.
In total,
Kazan has 543 educational institutions, including 324 kindergartens (67
thousand 796 children), 167 schools (114 thousand 805 students), 49
establishments of additional education (70 thousand 967 students) and 3 other
institutions. As I. Hadiullin noted, almost all the evening schools have been closed
for 7 years, there is only one for the deaf-mute. 2 preschools and preschool
offices in 9 schools implement a program of pre-school education in addition to
the kindergartens.
