Ilsur Metshin praised the front of future works on the reconstruction of the House of Culture named after Lenin

(KZN.RU, February 8). Reconstruction of the House of Culture named after Lenin should be held at a high level to keep the special atmosphere of the complex for comfortable operation of the set of creative teams based here. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, gave such an order, visiting today one of the most popular cultural and leisure centers of the city.

Natalia Ilyasova, the director of the HoC named after Lenin, told the Mayor that the construction of the building began in 1950 and was completed 10 years later. Major repairs were not carried out in the building ever. The park “Kryliya Sovetov”, adjacent to the HoC Lenin, was previously redesigned by the republican program “Parks and squares”. Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of Tatarstan, announced the decision to renovate the Palace of Culture at the opening of the park in September 2016. According to the decree of the Cabinet of the RT, 349 million rubles have been allocated for the reconstruction of the HoC Lenin.

The total area is more than 9000 square meters. N. Ilyasova informed the Mayor that about 370 cultural events are held at the center each year, including such large as an international festival of fantasy and role-playing games “Zilantkon” and the festival of Japanese culture “Phoenix”. “More than 200 thousand people a year attend our events”, said the director.

Ilsur Metshin visited the concert hall with 800 seats, equipped with everything needed for presentations. “There was a construction quality in Soviet times. Everything was there for professional groups to work: theater, stage, and dance. It is necessary to step up and to the reconstruction of an appropriate manner”, marked the Mayor of Kazan.

N. Ilyasova said that 49 club groups are working with the HoC, 20 of which - for children up to 14 years. “The total number of participating teams is about 2000 people, 500 of them - the children", said the director. According to her, the complex 7 groups have the title of “People” and some, for example, the folk choir of veterans of war and labor “Flight”, is actively involved in the project “Zhiznelub”.

The Mayor praised the work of the HoC staff. “Well done, that the teams have not lost over the years: no children, no veterans. Not to lose the creative and cultural potential. Thank you for waiting for repairs”, said I. Metshin.

Almost half a billion rubles will be invested in 2017 in the development of material-technical base of Kazan culture for the first time in many years. Major funds will be spent on major repairs was built in 1934, the Moscow TsKC (119.5 million rubles) and the HoC named after Lenin were built in 1960. (349 million rubles), as well as for design work on reconstruction of the CS Chulpan (5.75 million rubles).

Damir Fattakhov, the first deputy head of the Kazan Executive Committee, Natalya Fishman, the assistant to the President of the RT, Timur Alibaev, the head of the Aviastroitelny and Novo-Savinovsky districts administration, and others also attended the event.
