Ilsur Metshin has been approved into the composition of the General Council of "United Russia"

(KZN.RU, February 3, Zilya Gayfi). Ilsur Metshin has been approved as part of the updated General Council of the All-Russian political party "United Russia". The Mayor of Kazan summed up the XVI party's congress, held January 21-22 in Moscow, on the political council of the local branch in the Moscow City Hall.

Ilsur Metshin, the Kazan secretary of the local branch of the party, who attended the party congress, shared his impressions about the forum. The Mayor of Kazan named update party cadres the important result of the congress. “A serious rotation took place in the General Council and the Supreme Council of the party. 100 out of 170 members are new ones. Two representatives of Tatarstan joined the General Council. I'm sure this is the result of our joint activity in all elections, confirmation of the fact that our Party organization is one of the largest in the country, and her work is gaining momentum”, said the Mayor.

According to the Mayor of Kazan, the congress participants highlighted the importance of strengthening the primary organizations. “Speaking at the plenary session, Dmitry Medvedev (the chairman of the party “United Russia”, Russian Prime Minister: Ed) said that the primary branches are closest structure to the people. A task was delivered at the Congress: to create a number of “primary organizations”, which would correspond to the number of polling stations. Our challenge is to organize the work on the consolidation of individual Party organizations and thus to double the number of primary branches. True leaders with a fresh look should stand at the head of them”, said the head of the Tatarstan’s capital.

An important factor of interaction between society and the party is still open to the people, reminded I. Metshin. In particular, we are talking about the political platforms, on which there are discussions. The Mayor of Kazan noted the work of the local council of the party supporters, which includes a lot of professionals and experts in various industries. The candidacy of Dmitry Schiller, the chairman of the department of Russian Geographical Society in the Republic of Tatarstan, was agreed upon as the chairman of the Kazan Council of the party supporters at the last meeting of the political council.

I. Metshin also supported the initiative to create a business platform, which was discussed at the forum in Moscow. “There are non-partisan representatives of business, they should be interested. We would appreciate the opinion of representatives of small and medium-sized businesses, it is important that they see our party as a partner”, said the Mayor.

The public reception of the party is continuing to perform a special role. For example, more than 2 thousand people came to the reception with a personal appeal in 2016 in Kazan, for 5 years - about 15 thousand. According to I. Metshin, citizens not only receive consult and assistance in public reception areas, but also bring their proposals to the party projects. “Many residents’ ideas were included in the policy document “My Kazan”, with which the party went to the municipal elections. Through this program, we were fighting with queues in the kindergartens, increased availability of social services for older people, landscaped urban environment and public spaces. Almost all of these projects have been successful and in were demand”, said the Mayor.

According to Natalia Grechannikova, the head of the Executive Committee of the Kazan Branch, appeals of residents were taken into account in the development of 30 party projects, aimed at solving social problems: improving the quality of public services, promotion of sports, landscaping of urban areas and other. “All our work is aimed at achieving a common goal, clearly articulated in the “My Kazan”, we must work for the benefit of people, to strengthen the status of the leader-city and tune in to conquer new heights”, I. Metshin marked the importance of the implementation of party projects.

In the course of the political council, members of the Kazan branch party also discussed the implementation of the project “School of Party activists” and holding Spartakiad among party’s deputies.
