Ilsur Metshin: “We begin the overhaul of kindergartens after schools”

(KZN.RU, January 31, Mikhail Chentsov). Overhaul of the four pre-school educational institutions (five buildings) totaling 109.35 million rubles is planned in 2017 in the Sovetsky district of Kazan. In total, 13 schools and 9 kindergartens of Kazan totaling 526.26 million rubles are included in the program of capital repairs of secondary and pre-school educational institutions in 2017. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, inspected the progress of work in the kindergarten №206 on Kirpichnikov Street.

As the head of the Tatarstan’s capital noted, 88% of schools, which needed major repairs, have been updated thanks to the republican program in Kazan. “The next step was the decision to repair kindergartens, thanks to our President. This is a very useful program. We've been waiting for it. This kindergarten has not seen major repairs for 53 years. It’s good that they were constructing tightly in the Soviet Union, so the kindergarten survived to the present day and took the children”, concluded I. Metshin.

Demolition work on the replacement of electrical, installation of underfloor heating and water supply systems are already under way in a two-storey building, which was built in 1964 and designed for six groups of children.

According to Iskandar Giniyatullin, the deputy head of the Kazan Executive Committee and the chairman of Housing Committee, work on replacing the roof, windows, interior doors, engineering services, repair of entrances, bathrooms, and the facade blind area totaling 11.296 million rubles is planned in the kindergarten №206 in the framework of implementation of the overhaul program.

According to Alsu Sibgatullina, the head of the kindergarten, all the children are distributed to nearby kindergartens for the time of the overhaul. “The place in a kindergarten remains for them, and they can come back at the end of repair”, she said. She thanked the city’s leadership and the Government of the Republic for the overhaul program, thanks to which the kindergarten has a chance for a second life.

The kindergarten №259 of the street Parkovaya, 25a, a branch of the kindergarten №206 on the street Popov, 13a, the kindergarten №199 on the street Gubkin, 14a and the kindergarten №158 on the street Adel Kutui, 86 will also be repaired in the Sovetsky district of the city in addition to the kindergarten №206.
