8 new sportsgrounds appeared in the Vakhitovsky and the Privolzhsky districts of Kazan in 2016
(KZN.RU, January 23, Mikhail Chentsov). 8 new sportsgrounds appeared in Vakhitovsky and the Privolzhsky districts of Kazan in 2016. The objects appeared on the territory of the Kazan Energy College, Autotransport College, Tatar gymnasium №1, school №114, school №42, and school №116. Benefactors built sportsground at the school №18. The long-awaited sportsground at the Kazan Medical University was made as well. Andrei Lobov, the head of the Vakhitovsky and the Privolzhsky districts administration, reported this to Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, at the meeting on the results of work in 2016.
The opening of sites for engaging in mass sports in districts contributes to students of different sporting success. In 2016, more than 9,000 students of both districts took part in the Spartakiad. The Privolzhsky district has won the second place in the competition. The school №19 won the school's basketball league in Kazan and Tatarstan.
The youth teams were successful in play sports. Teams from the school №69 took first two places in city competitions for awards of the Cup “Golden Puck”. The team “Movement”, representing the Vahitovsky district, became the winner in the football competitions “Leather Ball”.
A. Lobov also said that last year three territorial public self-government (TSG), operating on the settlements’ territories, became the winners of the Republican contest and received grants. The TGS “Davlikeevo” got 665,000 rubles, the TSG “Schastkivy” - 430 thousand, the TSG “Kukushkino” - 160 thousand. According to the speaker, all won grants have been fully spent for the construction of sportsgrounds.
