Work on the 48 objects of cultural heritage were carried out in the historical center of Kazan in 2016

(KZN.RU, January 23, Mikhail Chentsov). The restoration and renovation of 48 objects of cultural heritage were carried out on the territory of Kazan Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky districts in 2016. Andrei Lobov, the head of the Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky districts administration, reported this to Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, at the reporting meeting, devoted to the results of work in 2016.

According to A. Lobov, repair of facades was carried out on 20 objects of cultural heritage, 5 projects have been reconstructed, the work continues for another 23 sites for today. Reconstruction of the building of the St. Macarius Church (street Yapeeva, 2), an apartment house of the middle of the XIX century by architect P. Pyatnitskiy (street Bolshaya Krasnaya, 10) and house of Chekmarev-Wilken, built in 1777 (street Yapeeva, 13), were completed last year.

Repair of facades were carried out in the following buildings: a former transit prison (street Baturin, 7), the house of Marko (Nabokov) on the street Gogol, 4, the manor of Dyachenko (street Nagornaya, 35), the main house of the estate in 1906, designed by architect F. Amlong, on street Lobachevsky, 10, where the Union of Composers of the RT is located.

Reconstruction continues in the following buildings: the house of Druzhinina (street Kosmodemyanskaya, 5), the house of Venitsianov (street Bolshaya Krasnaya, 35/1), the house of Shamil, where the Museum G. Tukai is located today (street Tukai, 74), and others. The reconstruction of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Kazan (Bolshaya Krasnaya, 5) has become one of the most ambitious projects.

The head of the Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky districts administration noted that three wooden houses on the main streets of the capital of Tatarstan (№16 on Ulyanov-Lenin Street and №78 and 80 on the street Volkov) were put in order in 2016 in Kazan within the framework of the festival “Tom Sawyer Fest” with the support of the Executive Committee of the city administration. Elements that had deteriorated were replaced, drainage systems repaired, and sanding and painting the walls were made in houses.

In total, 339 objects of cultural heritage are located on the territory of the Kazan Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky districts, 63 of which are federal, 234 – republican, and 42 - municipal.
