The capacity of the 45.5 km-storm sewer networks was restored in Kazan

(KZN.RU, January 19, Alsu Safina). The 45.5 km of storm sewer networks have been cleaned and the throughput restored in 2016 in Kazan. In total, the cleaning more than 215 km of networks is made since 2012, which is 56% of the total length of the storm water drain on the balance of the Committee on improvements. Igor Kulyazhev, the chairman of the committee and the deputy head of the Executive Committee, said this today in his report to Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, on the results of the previous year. 290 million rubles were allocated from the republican budget for these purposes.

Igor Kulyazhev reported that the measures to eliminate the failure in the networks of storm sewer on street Zorge were carried out in full, which were damaged during work on the construction of the underground. Also repair works on storm water networks in a ravine on the street Latyshskih Strelkov, begun in 2015, were completed in February last year.

The head of the Committee also drew attention to the fact that the state of emergency reservoirs has been identified during the reconstruction of the park “Chernoe Ozero”. Because of this, the nearby streets and the territory of the park were regularly flooded during heavy rainfall. Rerun of collectors damaged sections with a total length of 398 m was carried out to solve the problem at the expense of extra-budgetary funds.

In the report, the Chairman of the Committee said that the allocation of land is made for the construction of sewage treatment plants in the production of storm sewer near the Kazan State Academy of Veterinary Medicine named after N. Bauman and project documentation for their construction is developed.

Total length of urban networks storm water drain was 380 km for the year, 9 km of them were taken on the balance sheet in 2016. According to Igor Kulyazhev, work on restoring of the storm water drain capacity of the city will continue this year.
