December 19, Zilya Gayfi). Reconstruction of four objects of federal and
republican significance on the territory of the Staro-Tatarskaya Sloboda of
Kazan is carried out and it is planned to start the renovation of the lost
cultural heritage – the Yenikeyev Manor. Marat Usmanov, the prefect of the
territory of the “Stary Gorod”, spoke about the improvement and restoration
work in the Staro-Tatarskaya Sloboda at today's Business Monday.
Reconstruction
of Azimovskaya Mosque involves a whole range of works. “It is planned to
restore the original appearance of the facade and minarets, interior decoration
and update all utilities. Now the roofing work is almost complete, the walls in
the basement strengthened, windows and tiles replaced, finishing of the
interior is underway. It is planned to repair the facade and the basement and
update system of the republican funds until June 30. The total amount of funds
from the federal and republican budget is 78 million rubles”, said Marat
Usmanov.
Restoration
work carried out in the Shamil's House (now – the Literature Museum named after
G. Tukai) at the street Tukai, 74. This year, the strengthening of the
foundation and walls, renovating of the facade, and replacement of roofs are
carried here. It is planned to upgrade all wooden windows in the beginning of
next year. The total cost of repairs, including interior work, is 168 million
rubles.
According
to Marat Usmanov, the House of Krestovnikovs, the object of wooden architecture
(street Tukai, 126), and the Petzold’s malting plant complex of buildings are
of particular interest for the city. In the House of Krestovnikovs, for the
reconstruction of which 38 million rubles have been allocated, the roof
replaced and the facade completely restored, now interior finishing work are
carrying out there. Investors began the reconstruction of the Petzold's plant
buildings in the late summer. Work is carried out in three buildings, facing
the street Tukai. The first floor of the restoring two-storey building of the
former residential house has been erected, and masonry exterior walls and roof
structures have been restored.
The prefect
of the territory of the “Stary Gorod” shared the plans for next year to start
the reconstruction of the lost cultural heritage – the Yenikeyev Manor. The
urban reconstruction project approved by the interdepartmental commission,
chaired by Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, and sanctioned by Rustam
Minnikhanov, the President of Tatarstan. It is planned to fully restore the
object before the World Cup in 2018.
In addition
to the restoration of historic buildings, new sights will appear in the
Staro-Tatarskaya Sloboda. As Marat Usmanov told, it is planned to open an
interactive museum of the Staro-Tatarskaya Sloboda in May next year, the
establishment of which was requested by the Kazan Guild of guides. More than 20
thousand people visited the existing Chak-chak Museum for the year. In October,
the museum won the All-Russian competition “Souvenir 2016” in Yaroslavl in two
categories: “Gastronomic souvenir” and “Souvenir of the year”.
As the
prefect of the territory of “Stary Gorod” told, educational projects were
designed to promote the history of the Staro-Tatarskaya Sloboda. “This year,
the quiz on knowledge of the history and architecture of Staro-Tatarskaya
Sloboda started on the three radio stations of the city. The winners were
awarded diplomas and prizes, books and the opportunity to attend master-classes
on interactive platforms. Together with the Department of Education, we will
launch the contest of essays and local history research on the history of
Staro-Tatarskaya Sloboda among school children after the New Year”, Marat
Usmanov shared the plans.
Ilsur
Metshin marked that the prefecture has the status of a particular territory.
“Our priorities remain unchanged. It is the preservation of the historic
appearance and development of the territory of the Staro-Tatarskaya Sloboda.
These issues are constantly in the focus of our attention. Many buildings
restored, but you have to deal with their content, especially, souvenirs,
cuisine and museum spaces”, said the Mayor.
