Ilsur Metshin was re-elected as the secretary of the local branch of “United Russia”

(KZN.RU, December 14, Mikhail Chentsov). The XXVII Conference of the Kazan local branch of the party “United Russia” was held in the capital of Tatarstan, where Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, was re-elected as the secretary of the department by the result of a secret ballot. The meeting was held within the walls of the KSUAE where the Mayor inspected the architectural and educational space of the “BFFT.space”.

248 out of 265 delegates were present at the conference. Yuri Kamaltynov, the deputy chairman of the Tatarstan State Council and the head of the faction “United Russia” in the Tatarstan State Council, Natalia Grechannikova, the head of the Executive Committee of the local branch of the party “United Russia”, and others also attended the meeting. Ilsur Metshin thanked the party members for their confidence. “Being at the head of such an authoritative, the largest city party organization of the Tatarstan’s capital is a great responsibility. I will make every effort together with you to realize the most daring ideas, which our voters expect from us”, said the Mayor of Kazan.

Consideration of 6 more questions were on the agenda of the conference in addition to the election of the secretary. The report of the local supervisory commission of the Kazan party branch, the election of members of the local council and the local political control commission, approval of provisions for local control of the commission, as well as the election of delegates to the XXVI conference of the Tatarstan regional branch of the party “United Russia” are among them.

The speech of Ilsur Metshin has become central of the agenda for today's conference, in which the Mayor summed up the five-year activity of the political council of the party’s local branch.

As I. Metshin noted, party projects remain a priority for work of the department. Thus, the program “Five years of health” has become one of the most successful of these initiatives. “Having set the goal to increase the average life expectancy of Kazan citizens for three years, we do not just have kept the word, but exceeded the plan. Life expectancy in Kazan reached 73 years. Citizens are living for 8 years longer compared with 2006. Every moment of life is precious, and we were able to make it longer for years”, marked the Mayor.

A real breakthrough was made in the health sphere, said the Mayor of Kazan. “Today, health care in Kazan is the best, not only in the Volga region, but also one of the best in the whole Russia. Our major medical centers are well equipped and operate according to international standards. We need to continue its course: to build new hospitals, introducing new treatment technologies, to improve the professional competence of the employees. This is exactly the topic that Vladimir Putin, the President of our country, pointed out in his message to the Federal Assembly”, said I. Metshin.

The Mayor also reminded party members that they managed to stop the destruction of monuments and to save more than 300 urban sites through action of the “Historical Memory” on improvement of the Kazan historical part, initiated by the United Russia 5 years ago. “The ruins and dumps have disappeared from the center of Kazan, paving, street furniture and stylized new museums have appeared. Today, the face of modern Kazan is not inferior to the appearance of the best cities in the world”, said the Mayor.

More than 140 thousand trees appeared on the streets and in the yards of the Tatarstan’s capital in the framework of the project “Green record”. “A couple for each registered vehicle during this time. So we can say we took a “Green Record”, the Mayor shared his opinion. In total, 30 new parks and squares with a total area of 227 ha were created in last two years in Kazan. “Support of by Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the Republic, has played an invaluable role in the development of the city in all directions, as well as the work of city and district authorities, the deputies, and our residents”, said the head of the city.

According to the Mayor, the significant results were achieved in the field of charity, which supports by thousands of Kazan citizens today. So, good fairs were held in the parks and squares of the city this fall, which was visited by 30 thousand of Kazan citizens, and 3.5 million rubles was collected for charitable projects. “Money is the second. The most important thing is an impulse that we see in children and their parents. In his message, the President of the Russian Federation has publicly said about the need to develop the country's ideal of charity, volunteerism and philanthropy. It's nice that we are in a trend, and Kazan is already at the forefront of these initiatives”, said I. Metshin.

At the end of his speech, the Mayor focused on the tasks, on which the local party’s branch will be addressed in the upcoming election period. “Our party is still young. 15 years for it is just the age of adulthood, but not yet mature, we are just at the beginning. There are enough difficulties and problems, but there are also an understanding and confidence that together we will overcome them and be sure to make life more comfortable, safe, and happy for Kazan citizens”, concluded the Mayor of Kazan.
