Ilsur Metshin interrupts vacation due to the Bulgaria disaster
(KZN.RU, July 11). Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin interrupted his vacation due to yesterday's tragedy on the Volga River and returned to the city. He will lead the City Headquarters to assist the victims of the tragedy. This was announced today at a "Business Monday" by First Vice-Mayor Irshat Minkin.
"Business Monday" had to deal with an emergency: consideration of all other matters was postponed; all the heads of the City Executive Committee were instructed to help the victims of the tragedy.
Reminder: the pleasure boat Bulgaria suffered a disaster July 10 around 2:00 pm and sank near the village of Syukeevo of Kamsko - Ust'insky municipal district of Tatarstan. The Bulgaria was sailing from Bulgar to Kazan.
According to the operational headquarters of Russia’s Emergency Ministry in Tatarstan, there were 199 people on board, including 148 vacationers.
