"There was a terrible tragedy. We all broke off our vacations when we learned about it. All search-and-rescue operations are conducted by the Ministry of Emergencies; we must organize the work of the City Headquarters and provide all possible assistance to the victims and relatives of the dead,” emphasized the Mayor. First of all, help is needed during the forensic examination and in issuing death certificates and funeral arrangements.
"The City Headquarters must work around the clock,” said Ilsur Metshin. “Everyone must be at his workplace. It is essential to organize everything that depends on the city to assist the registry offices, forensic centers and funeral homes. “
"This job must be entrusted to the most responsible professionals. People are grieving, and in this difficult moment we must provide maximum support and show maximum sympathy,” summed up the Mayor.
After the meeting, Ilsur Metshin visited the forensic and victim assistance centers. The Mayor of Kazan checked the work of city services, and personally expressed his condolences to the bereaved families.
