November 28, Alsu Safina). Damir Fattakhov, the first deputy head of the
Executive Committee, spoke about the program of the Decade of Disabled at the
staff meeting. The decade opened on December 2 by the concert with
participation of creative collectives of the city in the Great Concert Hall
named after S. Saidashev.
Each year,
financial aid is allocated from the city budget for single mothers and single
mothers with disabilities, bringing up children with disabilities, as well as
for families with disabled children. 322 families will receive one-time
financial assistance this year.
Particular
attention during the decade will be paid to health issues. According to D.
Fattakhov, district medical team will visit the family with non-transportable
disabled at home. Traditionally, charity dinners, events, job fairs, round
tables, concerts and meetings with interesting people will be held in all
districts of the city, hairdressing and clothes repair will be provided.
Lessons of
kindness, essay competitions and exhibitions of children's art works on
relevant topics will be organized within the framework of the Decade of
Disabled in the city schools. Also, students will hold a charity concert for
pupils of special correctional education institutions.
The
gala-concert of the festival “Vozmemsya za ruki, druziya!” (Rus. “Let's join
hands, friends!”), which is attended by 20 specialized correctional schools and
boarding schools of the republic, will be held in the Puppet Theater “Ekiyat”
for the first time this year. Damir Fattakhov reminded that the festival was
born in the Sovetsky district of Kazan, and in 2013 received the republican status.
This year, students of institutions from Arsky, Pestretsy, Elabuga, Chistopol
and Nizhnekamsk regions of Tatarstan have joined the festival. The gala concert
will take place on December 8.
On the same
day, the competition “Strong spirit” will be held at the sports complex “Ak
Bure”. In addition, cultural activities for people with disabilities will be
held in the capital of Tatarstan.
Damir
Fattakhov, the first deputy head of the Executive Committee, said that more
than 90 thousand people with disabilities for some diseases live in Kazan today;
more than 4500 among them are children.
Ilsur
Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, expressed the hope that no one will be left out of
participation in charitable events, devoted to the decade. He reminded that all
those who wish to help can visit the Kazan page of the service “Dobro Mail.Ru”
and learn about those who need help.
The Mayor
stressed that now it is important to pay attention to educational projects.
According to him, it is important to raise sensitivity, attention and desire to
help in children.
A decade is
dedicated to the International Day of Disabled Persons, which is celebrated
worldwide on December 3.
