Ilsur Metshin thanked the President of the RT and Kazan investors for the transformation of parks

(KZN.RU, November 7, Mikhail Chentsov). Nine green areas were renovated this year in Kazan within the framework of the program of urban parks and squares improvement. It would have been impossible to achieve impressive results in the improvement of such a large number of objects without the help of landscaping companies, district administrations, businesses, philanthropists and industry, said Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan.

“Thanks a lot, everyone. We would not have been able to raise such projects alone. Much gratitude to Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of Tatarstan. No social program was cancelled in difficult years, and dozens of them are implemented in the territory of the Tatarstan’s capital. Parks and public space, water protection zones - this is what we started to dream a decade ago. This is the case when walk and ye shall reach. No joke, more than a billion rubles of patrons and sponsors in addition to the cost of money was raised for five years!”, stressed I. Metshin at today's Business Monday.

The Mayor of Kazan also shared his impressions of the program's results. “For the first time coming abroad, we watched with amazement how people lie on the lawn, running around and play. It all seemed exotic. Today we see how the citizens occupied all the parks. The older generation, young people rest on the lawns. But what is important: this is an education as well. People have a good rest and then clean up after themselves”, concluded the Mayor.

For today, works are completed in 7 objects of the program. Two objects - Lyadsky garden and the first stage of improvement in the Gorkinsko-Ometevsky forest - will be completed by mid-December.
